In 2018, Lawson became a partner of The&nbsp;First Tee Legacy\nSociety\u2014 donors who commit $20,000 or more to the mission of The First Tee in\norder impact future generations.&nbsp;Lawson\nbuilt the structure through a collaborative effort with assistance from Site\nConcepts, Speight, Marshall &amp; Francis DFI\/GEM, Harbor Construction Company,\nCPG, Inc., and McDaniel\u2019s Siding and Roofing.&nbsp; These business partners\ncontributed greatly to the project either through design assistance or\nconstruction labor and supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The First Tee of Hampton Roads, operated by the YMCA of South\nHampton Roads and located next to the Virginia Beach National Golf Course, is a\nchapter of the National First Tee program founded by the PGA. Locally, The\nFirst Tee of Hampton Roads serves over 30,000 kids annually. These participants\nlearn to play golf while learning important life lessons and developing strong\nleadership skills. For The First Tee, golf is so much more than a game\u2014it is a\nway to grow confidence through the Nine Core Values of the program: honesty,\nintegrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance,\ncourtesy, and judgment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the help of the Lawson Companies, The First Tee of Hampton Roads now has a central outdoor space with The Lawson Pavilion to be used for additional activities to compliment the important youth development work already being done on their outdoor learning center and golf course.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Lawson&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Lawson, we understand that what we do \u2013 and how we do it \u2013 affects the everyday lives of people we care about.
